Fire Marshal/Warden Training

The role of the fire marshal or fire warden within a business carries a number of responsibilities. They will be involved in fire drills and real evacuations and they may also carry out fire checks, give fire inductions and keep vital records. They will need the ability to use fire extinguishers safely and correctly. For that reason adequate training is essential for every person working in an organisation, company or an office building. At UK Fire Training we deliver all the training at your site.

Bespoke Training
Each of our bespoke fire marshal training sessions is delivered by ex fire safety trainers and complies with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The aim of the course is simple: to give your fire wardens training so that, should a fire break out at work, they would have the knowledge and skills to deal with it appropriately.

Training Course Content
Our fire marshal training course is very comprehensive with elements of theory and practice including the opportunity to put out a real, controlled fire using a fire extinguisher. The topics covered in the fire marshal/fire warden training includes fire safety legislation, the science behind how fires get started and take hold, identifying hazards, fire notices and fire prevention.

Should the worst happen, then our fire marshal training teaches what action should be taken, conducting evacuations and putting out small fires. Further the training covers liaising with the fire service and fire controllers, record keeping, daily and weekly fire checks and importantly for ongoing safety inductions for new staff. If required, our training can include how to deal with bomb threats and cover areas specific to any special or particular hazards involved in operations at your site.
